Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of Giant Crossword media on the learning outcomes of fifth grade elementary school students. The type of research that will be used in this research is an experimental method with a True Experimental Design design. The results of the research show that the use of giant crossword media influences student learning outcomes in class V ecosystem material at SD Negeri 140 Palembang. This can be proven from the average value of the control class results being 54.17 and in the experimental class with treatment using giant crossword media the average value was 82.08 so the total increase based on the values of the control class and experimental class was 27.91. Apart from that, through hypothesis testing with the t test, the results obtained are that the t value = 17.556 with df = 22 and a sig number or p-value of 0.000 < 0.05. 2.0738 so Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. It can be interpreted that there is an influence of giant crossword media on learning outcomes in class V ecosystem material at SD Negeri 140 Palembang.
