Abstract

The change from the 2013 Curriculum to the Merdeka Curriculum is a change that must be adapted by students and education units in Indonesia. The Merdeka Curriculum facilitates education in Indonesia to be more flexible and prioritize the interests and learning styles of each learner. Meanwhile, energy education is one of the important topics today due to the energy crisis. This is evidenced by the phenomenon of global warming and climate chaos. The objectives of this research include: 1) Knowing how to increase learners' knowledge of energy issues. 2) Knowing what features are needed in MONERGI learning media. 3) Knowing the effectiveness of MONERGI learning media in improving energy understanding. This research method uses the experimental method, with steps, namely material validation test, question validation test, media validation test, media practicality validation test, then continued with data collection. From this study, it was concluded that MONERGI learning media can improve students' understanding of energy material. The necessary features of the learning media, namely question cards, QR codes, pre tests and post tests help students understand energy material. Thus, MONERGI learning media is effective in helping students to improve their understanding of energy.
