SIHISTO: permainan ular tangga sebagai media pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan minat peserta didik terhadap pembelajaran sejarah

The fading interest in learning history, especially Indonesian history in social studies subjects is very dangerous for future generations and the strength of the Indonesian state. One of the main causes of the fading interest of students in studying history is due to the times that are not matched by programs and facilities to educate students in learning history. The objectives of this study include a) knowing the development of SIHISTO to increase students' interest in learning history, b) knowing the application of SIHISTO learning media to increase students' interest in learning history, c) knowing the effectiveness of SIHISTO learning media in learning history. The method used in this research is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model. Testing was carried out at SMPIT Abu Bakar Yogyakarta with expert validation of material, questions and media. The results showed that SIHISTO media is very feasible to use, with a material validation value of 97% and question validation of 98%. In addition, the effectiveness of this media can be seen from the increased activeness and understanding of students, with post-test results showing an increase of 31 points in the treatment group and 1 point in the control group. From these results, it shows a significant increase compared to the control group.
